Forget US and UK? Indian students are now rushing to Singapore!

Studying abroad is becoming a popular choice for Indian students, and Singapore is quickly emerging as one of the most attractive destinations. Known for its world-class education system, safe environment, and strong career opportunities, the country currently hosts more than 33,000 Indian students.

Many students are choosing Singapore because its universities are globally recognised and offer a wide range of programmes. Leading institutions include National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and Singapore Management University, all of which rank among Asia’s top universities.

The cost of studying in Singapore varies depending on the university and course. Public universities generally charge between ₹6 lakh and ₹18 lakh per year, while private institutions may charge higher fees. However, government tuition grants can reduce costs by 30–50% for eligible students.

To study in Singapore, students must obtain a Student Pass, which requires admission confirmation, financial proof, and document verification. International students can also work part-time up to 16 hours a week during their studies.
