In a fiery response at the United Nations, India publicly denounced Pakistan as a "rogue state" following a shocking admission by Pakistan's own Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif. The confession-where Asif acknowledged Pakistan’s role in supporting and funding terror groups-sparked sharp criticism from India and raised global eyebrows.
India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Yojna Patel, delivered a powerful Right of Reply during the launch of the Victims of Terrorism Association Network (VoTAN) in New York. She responded after a Pakistani delegate attempted to reference the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir-a tragedy that killed and injured several innocent civilians.
Patel didn’t hold back. She called out Pakistan’s hypocrisy on the global stage, pointing to the Minister’s own words as undeniable proof of state-sponsored terrorism. According to India, this blatant admission only confirms Pakistan’s long history of destabilising the region through terror networks.
India urged the international community to not just condemn the attack in Pahalgam but also hold responsible those who fund and breed terrorism. Patel emphasized the importance of justice for victims and collective global action against the root sources of terror.
