Diljit Dosanjh’s ongoing Dil-Luminati tour has been plagued with issues, and his recent concert in Chandigarh has added to his troubles. Following the performance, the event's organizers have been accused of violating noise-level regulations. According to The Tribune, the noise during the concert exceeded the 75-decibel limit set by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, with measurements ranging from 76.1 to 93.1 decibels. As a result, authorities are likely to issue a notice to the organizers and recommend a hefty fine of Rs 15 lakh for the violation.
This is not the first time Diljit’s tour has faced challenges. Earlier, the Telangana government issued a notice instructing him not to perform songs promoting alcohol, drugs, or violence during his Hyderabad show. The Pune concert also faced restrictions, where alcohol was not served, and similar protests from the Bajrang Dal in Indore led to a ban on both alcohol and meat at the event.
Amid these controversies, Diljit expressed frustration with India's concert infrastructure during his Chandigarh show on December 14. He announced that he would not hold any future concerts in India unless the government improved the infrastructure for live shows. Diljit highlighted the potential of live concerts as a major revenue-generating sector that provides livelihood to many people. He suggested setting up stages in the middle of crowds to enhance the concert experience but emphasized the need for improvements in the overall infrastructure before he would return to performing in India.
