Huang stated that for the foreseeable future, Nvidia is assuming no revenue from China in its financial forecasts, describing the outcome as unintended policy damage. The market share drop is tied directly to U.S. export restrictions blocking Nvidia’s flagship AI chips (e.g., A100, H100, H200) from being sold to Chinese firms.
China has moved to strengthen its own chip ecosystem, reducing demand for Nvidia’s products in that region. Huang criticised the policy outcome, arguing that curtailing access to a major global market harms both U.S. companies and global technological leadership.
