KKR's All-Round power overpowers DC in their own Backyard!

At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Kolkata Knight Riders reminded fans why they’re the defending champions. A total team effort - from Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s composed 44 to Sunil Narine’s clutch three-wicket spell - powered them to a vital 14-run win over Delhi Capitals.

Faf du Plessis led the charge with a gritty 62, and Axar Patel supported him with a fiery fifty. DC looked well in control, even crossing 100 by the 11th over. But just when the chase seemed within reach, Narine's spin magic flipped the script.

Axar and Stubbs fell in the same over. Then, du Plessis holed out, and Delhi’s lower order crumbled under pressure. A mini-fight from Nigam gave hope, but Andre Russell sealed the deal with a killer yorker in the final over.

Earlier, Kolkata exploded out of the gate, smashing 79 runs in the powerplay. Raghuvanshi held the innings together while Rinku and Russell provided the late punches to post 204.

this win, KKR bagged their 4th victory and kept their playoff hopes alive, while DC suffered their second straight loss and looked visibly jaded.
