Red Fort blast aftermath: Families crowd hospitals in Grief and Chaos!

In the aftermath of the devastating car explosion near the Red Fort metro station Monday evening, the corridors outside Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (NLNJP) Hospital were overwhelmed with grief, panic and confusion. According to reports, at least eight people were killed and more than 19 injured. Families rushed in, desperate for information. One relative of a burn-injured taxi driver said he had been called by his uncle around 7:30 pm and then remained in shock at the hospital waiting area.

Others described long waits in the waiting halls without being allowed to see their loved ones. Hospital staff struggled to process the influx of injured and frantic relatives while investigations began at the scene - the car, identified as a Hyundai i20, exploded after stopping at a traffic light near the historic site.
Meanwhile, security forces and forensic teams have been deployed and a high-alert declared across the capital. Authorities say they are investigating all possibilities, including terrorism, but no official conclusion has yet been reached.
