Despite not being released in India amid political tension over Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, Diljit Dosanjh’s Sardaar Ji 3 has become a major global hit. Released overseas on June 27, the horror-comedy has amassed approximately ₹55 crore by its third weekend, driven by robust performances in Pakistan and Canada.
In its first 10 days, the film reached an impressive ₹42.6 crore, ranking it as 2025's highest-grossing Punjabi film internationally . By day 15, it had surpassed ₹50 crore, becoming only the second Punjabi-language feature to achieve this overseas milestone - after Jatt & Juliet 3.
On average, the film earned roughly US$6 million (~₹51 crore) within 15 days, and continued to post strong weekend numbers, even outperforming fellow Punjabi hits like Carry On Jatta 3 . With a production cost of around ₹35 crore, it’s already highly profitable overseas .
Industry sources say that if it had been released in India, Sardaar Ji 3 might have crossed the ₹100 crore mark globally.
