Schedule messages on WhatsApp?

After 17 years, WhatsApp may finally introduce a feature users have been asking for - scheduled messages. The Meta-owned messaging app is reportedly testing a native “Scheduled Messages” option on its iOS beta version via Apple’s TestFlight.

The feature will allow users to draft a message and choose a specific date and time for it to be sent automatically. From birthday wishes to work reminders and important announcements, this update could make communication more organized and stress-free.

Once scheduled, messages will appear in a dedicated section within chat info, where users can view, edit, or delete them before delivery. Importantly, recipients won’t be notified if a message is modified or removed before it’s sent.

While iPhone users currently rely on the Shortcuts app as a workaround, this built-in feature could simplify the process significantly. There is no confirmation yet on a public rollout date, but if launched widely, it could change how millions plan their conversations.
