Shaktimaan returns... not for fame, but to fix India’s distracted youth!

Mukesh Khanna, the actor best known as Shaktimaan and Bhishma Pitamah from Mahabharat, is bringing back India’s iconic superhero - this time for Gen Z. In a recent interview, he shared that in the new series, the first villain won’t be a monster but something far more relatable - the mobile phone. “It has become the biggest distraction and danger for today’s youth,” he said.

Khanna, now also debuting in Gujarati cinema, believes the younger generation lacks discipline and real-life heroes. Through Shaktimaan, he wants to guide them towards a more meaningful, focused life.

He explained that his entire acting career was shaped on his own terms - no compromises, no begging for roles, and no chasing fame. “Whatever I have received, God gave me,” he stated.

Khanna insists that Shaktimaan cannot be compared to Marvel’s Avengers. “Our superhero was rooted in Indian values, not just superpowers,” he said. For him, it's about moral strength, not just flashy effects.

As he revives Shaktimaan, Mukesh Khanna wants to create not just nostalgia, but a meaningful message for India’s screen-addicted youth.
