July 2025 boasts an exciting cinematic lineup featuring franchise favorites, superhero reboots, and acclaimed indie offerings. Leading the charge is Superman, set to premiere July 11. Directed and produced by James Gunn, this DC Cinematic Universe reboot stars David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. Though not an origin story, it introduces a fresh Clark Kent and even his loyal dog, Krypto.
Opening July 2, Jurassic World: Rebirth reunites fans with an all-star cast—including Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali—and promises sci-fi thrills as they explore the original park’s secrets. Then on July 25, the long-awaited The Fantastic Four: First Steps debuts, bringing Marvel’s First Family into the MCU. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss‑Bachrach lead this cosmic introduction directed by Matt Shakman.
Netflix returns with The Old Guard 2 (July 2), reuniting Charlize Theron and Uma Thurman in a gritty saga of immortal warriors. Also on July 18, Ari Aster’s Eddington, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal, delves into a tense, supernatural standoff in pandemic-era New Mexico.
Rounding out July is the horror sequel I Know What You Did Last Summer (July 18), featuring original cast members like Jennifer Love Hewitt alongside newcomers, and Together (July 30), a surreal body-horror from Sundance, starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco.
This diverse slate promises to satisfy blockbuster seekers, horror fans, and indie lovers alike.
