Now that he's Back, PM Modi should visit Manipur, says Congress!

The Congress on Thursday (July 10, 2025) criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that with his return from a five-nation visit, he should now prioritize pressing domestic issues. Addressing a press conference, party leaders said the Prime Minister should visit strife-torn Manipur, review the Pahalgam terrorist attack case, and reflect on the recent bridge collapse in Gujarat that killed 13 people.

The party questioned why, over a year into the Manipur violence, the Prime Minister has still not visited the northeastern state. It also sought accountability in the Pahalgam terror attack, where the perpetrators have not yet been brought to justice.

Additionally, Congress called for the Prime Minister to convene an all-party meeting to set the agenda for the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, emphasizing the need for transparency and cooperative governance.

The remarks come amid a renewed push by the Opposition to corner the government on issues ranging from national security to infrastructure failures and the state of law and order in conflict zones.
