Asian under-23 champion Sujeet Kalkal dominated the 65kg freestyle division at the Ranking Series wrestling event in Budapest, defeating several established competitors en route to gold.

The 22-year-old Indian wrestler showcased impressive form, defeating Paris Olympics bronze medallist Albanian Islam Dudaev 11-0 in the first round, European silver medallist Frenchman Khamzat Arsamerzouev 11-0 in the quarterfinals, and two-time Olympian Armenian Vazgen Tevanyan 6-1 in the semifinals.

In the final, Kalkal beat European bronze medallist Azerbaijan's Ali Rahimzade 5-1 to secure his second gold medal in three weeks, following his Asian under-23 title. This marked his second Ranking Series gold after winning in Tunisia three years ago.

India's Rahul also claimed bronze in the 57kg category.
