Paytm Money, the stockbroking subsidiary of One 97 Communications, has appointed Sandiip Bharadwaj as its new chief executive officer. Bharadwaj previously served as chief operating and digital officer at HDFC Securities, where he led the tech-focused discount broking business HDFC Sky.

Current CEO Rakesh Singh, who joined last year, is expected to assume a different role within the Paytm group. Singh had replaced Varun Sridhar in June 2024.

Founded in 2017, Paytm Money competes with Groww, Zerodha, and Angel One in the stockbroking space. The company had 724,249 active traders as of June and reported revenue of Rs 195.7 crore with Rs 71 crore net profit in FY24, marking its second consecutive profitable year.
