Every time we throw away an old T-shirt, we contribute to a global crisis - textile waste, one of the fastest-growing and most overlooked threats to our environment. Natural fabrics like cotton may decompose in 1–5 months, but synthetics like polyester and acrylic can take over 200 years, breaking down into microplastics that pollute oceans and enter our food chain.
With fast fashion accelerating waste generation, our landfills are overflowing, and the cost to the planet is mounting. But there’s hope.
Here’s what we can do:
Buy less, but buy better , Reuse and recycle wherever possible ,Support brands that prioritize sustainability , Donate clothes instead of dumping them Small choices make a big difference. By understanding what’s in our closet, we can make conscious fashion decisions that protect the Earth for generations to come.
Let’s not wear the planet out - choose fashion that lasts.
