Parisian multidisciplinary label Études has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2020 ready‑to‑wear line in collaboration with Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation. Dubbed “Diffusion/Illusion,” the collection explores the idea of borderless knowledge—transforming Wikipedia’s digital interface into wearable graphics.
Standout pieces include button‑down shirts printed with full Wikipedia definitions of “diffusion” and “illusion,” alongside hoodies, T‑shirts and caps emblazoned with the iconic puzzle‑globe logo. Short‑sleeve shirts and shorts feature multilingual symbols representing Wikipedia’s global reach. Prices range from approximately €75 for caps to €300 for shirts, available via the Études online store.
Zack McCune, Director of Brand at Wikimedia Foundation, praised the collaboration, “Wikipedia is a cherished part of culture … making our aesthetics of information into something you can wear.”
Not just a visual statement, the line also channels Wikipedia’s mission—spreading free, uncensored knowledge worldwide—with a portion of proceeds donated to the Wikimedia Foundation.
