Will AI finally solve Email overload? Perplexity thinks so!

Perplexity AI has introduced its new Email Assistant, now available to all Max plan subscribers, aiming to transform how users handle inbox management. The assistant integrates with Gmail and Outlook, helping users draft replies, organize emails, label conversations, schedule meetings, and prioritize important messages with ease.

To activate the tool, subscribers connect their email accounts through the Email Assistant hub and can trigger its features by sending a message to [email protected] from the linked account. Importantly, Perplexity highlights that the assistant does not train on user email data, though it adapts to a user’s writing style when generating responses.

The service is exclusively available under Perplexity’s Max tier, priced at $200 per month, positioning it as a premium productivity tool designed for professionals and heavy email users. By entering the email automation space, Perplexity joins a growing list of AI providers seeking to reduce the time burden of inboxes.
