You’ve probably watched hundreds of videos by now. Morning routines. Discipline hacks. “How to fix your life in 30 days.” You save them, maybe even feel motivated for a while. It feels like you’re doing something right, like you’re improving.
But if you’re honest… not much has actually changed. Because consuming advice isn’t the same as applying it. It just feels like it. There’s a strange comfort in learning without doing. You feel productive without facing the discomfort of actually changing your habits. No risk, no failure, just information. And that’s where most people get stuck.
They keep searching for the “perfect advice” instead of using what they already know. As if one more video will suddenly make everything click. But it doesn’t. At some point, the problem isn’t a lack of knowledge. It’s a lack of action.
And that shift is uncomfortable. Because once you stop consuming and start doing, you can’t hide behind potential anymore. You have to deal with reality, imperfect effort, slow progress, and mistakes. But that’s also where things actually start moving. So maybe you don’t need another video. Maybe you just need to start.
