Nintendo has launched a new smartphone app called Pictonico, and it is already grabbing attention for its unusual concept. The app allows users to transform their personal photos into interactive mini-games within seconds.

Users can upload pictures from their phone gallery or click fresh photos inside the app. The AI-powered system then converts those images into fast-paced mini-games inspired by Nintendo’s playful gaming style. Friends, family members and even pets can become part of the game experience.

The app reportedly includes dozens of mini-games featuring quick challenges, reaction-based tasks and funny interactions built around users’ photos. Some games are available for free, while additional content can be unlocked through in-app purchases.

One of the biggest reasons behind the app’s popularity is its nostalgic and entertaining feel. Social media users are already sharing funny clips of their photos turning into bizarre game situations and personalised challenges.

The app is currently available on Android and iOS platforms in several countries, including India. Nintendo has also said that photos are processed locally on devices, helping address privacy concerns around AI-powered photo apps.

With gaming and AI merging rapidly, Pictonico is becoming one of the internet’s latest viral entertainment trends.
