Zypp Electric, an EV-as-a-service player, is aggressively broadening its business beyond its core two-wheeler rental model. With a fleet scaled to over 20,000 EVs and plans to expand to 100,000 in the coming years, the company is targeting Tier II markets like Jaipur as quick-commerce adoption spreads beyond metros. Zypp has achieved operational profitability, with its FY25 revenue jumping 48 percent year-on-year to ₹448 crore, and is eyeing an FY26 target of ₹600 crore.
To diversify revenue, Zypp has launched an advertising vertical: its scooters and helmets now serve as mobile billboards for brands like Paytm, Rapido and Swiggy. Meanwhile, its AI-driven fleet management platform, FleetEase.ai, is being offered as SaaS to external operators, helping them optimise costs and performance
The software is priced on a per-vehicle subscription model and is already being used by other EV fleet operators. Operational efficiency is improving too: Zypp is shifting more of its vehicles to swappable batteries to reduce downtime, and is running roughly half its fleet on bank-financed models to improve asset economics.
