This prestigious technical entry offers a direct path to becoming a Commissioned Officer (Lieutenant) in the Indian Army without a written UPSC exam. Selection is based purely on merit (engineering marks) and the performance in the five-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview process.

Key Recruitment Details:

• Total Vacancies (379): * Men (67th Course): 350 posts across streams like Civil (75), Computer Science (60), Mechanical (101), Electrical (33), and Electronics (64).

• Women (38th Course): 29 posts in various engineering streams.

• Eligibility: * Educational: Must hold a BE/B.Tech degree in the notified engineering streams. Final-year students are eligible provided they can produce proof of passing by October 1, 2026.

• Age Limit: 20 to 27 years as of October 1, 2026 (Candidates born between October 2, 1999, and October 1, 2006). Widows of Defence Personnel have an upper age limit of 35 years.

• Selection Process: 1.  Shortlisting: Based on cumulative percentage of marks up to the 6th semester (or 8th for graduates).

2.  SSB Interview: 5-day evaluation at Selection Centres (Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, or Kapurthala).

3.  Medical Examination: Conducted for candidates recommended by the SSB.

• Salary & Training: Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. Commissioned officers start at Level-10 with a pay scale of ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500.

Important Dates:

• Application Window (Men): January 7, 2026, to February 5, 2026 (3:00 PM).

• Application Window (Women): January 6, 2026, to February 4, 2026 (3:00 PM).

• SSB Interviews: Tentatively scheduled between April and June 2026.
