Google has introduced a new feature called Cinematic Video Overviews in its AI research tool NotebookLM, making it easier to understand complex information. Instead of reading long documents or notes, users can now convert their research into short, engaging videos.
The feature analyses uploaded documents, extracts key insights, and transforms them into a structured video presentation with visuals, narration, and storytelling. This allows users to quickly grasp important points without going through lengthy text.
Cinematic Video Overviews appear inside NotebookLM Studio, alongside tools like audio overviews, reports, slide decks, mind maps, and flashcards. These features help users turn research material into different formats depending on how they want to study or present information.
Currently, the feature is rolling out to NotebookLM Ultra users in English, with a wider release expected later. The move reflects Google’s growing focus on integrating AI into productivity tools, making learning and research more visual, interactive, and engaging.
