For years, Figma has been one of the most popular tools for UI and UX designers. It helped teams easily create prototypes, collaborate in real time, and design digital products. But recently, a new shift is happening in the design industry.
Many designers are slowly moving away from traditional design tools and focusing more on building real products instead of just prototypes. With the rise of AI-powered coding tools and platforms, designers can now directly turn their ideas into working apps or MVPs.
This trend, often called “vibe coding,” encourages designers to experiment, build, and test products quickly without waiting for developers. Even teams at big companies like Meta are reportedly presenting working product demos instead of static UI prototypes.
While Figma is still widely used, some designers feel it is becoming less essential as the industry moves toward faster product development.
The creative industry is evolving quickly, and tools that help designers build, not just design, may shape the future.
