A farmer from Chhattisgarh has changed his life by switching from regular crops to flower farming. He now earns Rs 15-20 lakh every year by growing marigold and gladiolus.
Earlier, he faced low profits and unpredictable income from traditional crops. But when he saw the high demand for flowers in temples, weddings, and markets, he decided to try floriculture. Marigold and gladiolus grow quickly, need less water, and sell for a good price.
He used modern irrigation and organic fertilizers to grow high-quality flowers while keeping costs low. Soon, wholesalers and local traders started buying from him regularly. During festivals and wedding seasons, his earnings increased even more!
Unlike regular farming, where prices keep changing and rain is unpredictable, flower farming gives him a steady and high income. His success has inspired other farmers to try floriculture as well.
This story shows that trying something new can bring big success. With the right ideas and effort, farmers can earn more and have a better future. Will more farmers switch to flower farming? We will have to wait and see!
