Delhi residents enjoyed another day of clean air as the Air Quality Index (AQI) remained at a comfortable 89 - marking the second consecutive day of improved conditions. This "satisfactory" level, a rare relief for the city known for chronic pollution, came after intermittent showers and strong winds swept through the region.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted more thunderstorms with rain on Friday, June 20, 2025, which could further cleanse the air and offer respite from the summer heat. The recent weather shift is being seen as a temporary but welcome break from the usual choking smog that plagues the Capital.
Citizens across social media expressed joy over the visibly clearer skies and cooler breeze. Environmental experts, however, cautioned that such improvements are often short-lived without structural changes. Still, for now, Delhi is breathing a little easier - quite literally - and its residents are soaking in every fresh breath.
