Delhi to Face Storms and 70 kmph Winds This Week!

Delhi is set to face intense weather conditions over the next three days, as forecasted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Beginning Wednesday, May 29, residents should expect scattered to widespread light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and powerful winds across Delhi and nearby regions like Haryana, Punjab, and parts of Uttar Pradesh.

The peak of this turbulent spell is predicted for Thursday, May 30, when wind speeds may surge up to 70 kmph during thundersqualls. Surface winds will mainly blow from the southeast, bringing increased moisture and instability to the region.

Skies will remain partly cloudy, with chances of very light to light rain throughout the period.

The IMD has advised residents to stay indoors during intense weather and avoid unnecessary travel. These sudden weather changes mark a typical pre-monsoon pattern, and authorities are urging caution to ensure public safety during the stormy spell.
