The National Capital Territory of Delhi is set to adopt its first-ever official logo, with the reveal scheduled for November 1, as part of Delhi Day celebrations. The decision comes after a nationwide design competition that drew more than 1,800 entries, evaluated by a special committee led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and senior government officials. Unlike other states that already had emblems, Delhi had previously operated without a unified brand-identity mark.
The chosen logo is described as reflecting the city’s vibrant culture, democratic ethos, modern infrastructure and people-centric governance. According to the statement, the emblem aims to position Delhi not just as a seat of power, but as a city of transparency, progress and communal harmony. The process marks a shift in the capital’s public-image strategy, combining symbolic tradition with forward-looking branding. After formal approval in an upcoming meeting, the logo will serve as the permanent identity for Delhi’s government and its various departments.
This launch not only reinforces civic pride but also carries administrative importance—offering a unified visual signature for communications, signage and publications across the territory.
