Elderly man abandoned in car while family tours Taj Mahal!

An elderly man from Mumbai was discovered tied up and locked inside a car at the western gate parking lot of the Taj Mahal in Agra, sparking shock and concern. The parking lot guard noticed something was amiss and, along with bystanders, broke the car window to rescue him just in time .

Identified as Hariom Tandale, the 80‑year‑old father of Mumbai resident Siddheshwar Tandale, he was found semi-conscious and in critical condition from the scorching heat inside the sealed vehicle. Agra's Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sonam Kumar, confirmed the family reportedly left him while they went sightseeing . An ambulance was called, and his condition stabilized once removed; he later left the scene with his son.

Despite the alarming nature of the incident, no formal complaint has been filed yet. The episode has raised serious questions about elder neglect and family accountability. Authorities are reportedly reviewing the circumstances, with locals urging potential legal action or suo motu investigation.
