Google has introduced Nano Banana 2, its latest AI-powered image generation and editing model, calling it the company’s most advanced visual tool yet. Announced by CEO Sundar Pichai, the new model builds on Gemini’s world knowledge and integrates real-time data from Google Search to create more accurate and realistic images.

Nano Banana 2 allows users to generate and edit images using simple text or voice prompts. It delivers improved detail, sharper textures, better text rendering, and stronger consistency across edits -including maintaining the same facial features in modified images.

The tool also offers greater creative control, such as adjusting aspect ratios and object count. It is available across products like the Gemini app, Google Search’s AI mode, Google Lens, and Flow.

Originally launched in 2025, Nano Banana quickly gained popularity for high-resolution outputs. With this upgrade, Google aims to make professional-grade image creation faster, smarter, and more accessible to everyday users.
