Heavy rains force authorities to issue advisory for Corporates!

Gurugram's district administration issued a work-from-home advisory for Thursday after heavy rainfall caused severe waterlogging and traffic disruptions across the city. The India Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for the region.

The city recorded 133mm rainfall in 12 hours, including an intense 103mm spell between 7:30-9:00 PM on Wednesday. Major areas including Rajiv Chowk, Sohna Road, and multiple sectors experienced significant waterlogging.

Traffic jams paralyzed the city, with a 7-8 km vehicle queue on National Highway 48 and 2.5 feet of water at Subhash Chowk keeping commuters stuck until 2 AM Thursday. The IMD forecasts continued cloudy skies with intermittent rain for the next two days.
