India vs Australia 5th T20I abandoned due to Rain, India clinch series 2–1!

The fifth and final T20 International between India and Australia at Chennai was called off after persistent rain and lightning prevented any play beyond the initial overs. Despite a packed stadium and high anticipation, the weather forced officials to abandon the match after a two-hour delay.

With the series ending 2–1 in India’s favor, the hosts secured another home series victory, having dominated the earlier games through strong performances by Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, and Ravi Bishnoi. Australia, though competitive in patches, struggled to match India’s consistency throughout the series.

This result marks a successful conclusion for India’s young T20 squad, which has been experimenting with new combinations ahead of upcoming international tournaments. The abandoned match was a disappointment for fans but reaffirmed India’s growing bench strength and adaptability in the shortest format.
