The Traitors is India’s latest entrant in psychological reality TV, hosted by Karan Johar and streaming on Prime Video since June 12 . Set against the opulent backdrop of Rajasthan’s Suryagarh Palace, the show features 20 well-known personalities - from actors and influencers to musicians and comedians - forming a tense ensemble. At the outset, a few players are covertly designated as traitors whose mission is to “murder” innocents by night and manipulate votes during the day .
By day, the group tackles collaborative challenges to build the prize money, while by night, traitors secretly eliminate opponents. Each episode culminates in a dramatic “Circle of Shaq,” where all participants vote to banish someone they suspect of betrayal . If all traitors are exposed, the innocents share the pot; if any survive to the end, a traitor walks away with the entire ₹1 crore.
