Defence-tech startup Raphe mPhibr has raised $100 million in India's largest private aerospace manufacturing funding round, led by General Catalyst with participation from Think Investments and family offices.
Founded by siblings Vivek and Vikash Mishra nearly a decade ago, the Noida-based company designs unmanned aerial vehicles including the mR10 drone swarm platform, mR20 high-altitude logistics drone, Bharat surveillance drone, and X8 maritime patrol system. Several products are already deployed with Indian defence forces.
The funding, bringing total capital to $145 million, comes amid increasing military drone usage globally, including recent India-Pakistan conflicts. The company operates a vertically integrated aerospace campus with in-house expertise across aerodynamics, materials science, and thermodynamics.
This investment aligns with India's push to expand its private aerospace ecosystem through initiatives like the Innovations for Defence Excellence programme, positioning domestic startups as key defence technology providers.
