iPhone 17 air might feature a pro-level chip but with a major catch!

Apple is reportedly planning to introduce a new model, the iPhone 17 Air, in 2025 as part of a significant revamp of its iPhone lineup. The device is likely to feature a “Pro-level” A18 or A19 chip, which could deliver high-end performance typically reserved for flagship devices. However, a closer look suggests this might be a rebranded or slightly scaled-down version of the current Pro chip, indicating a marketing-driven repositioning rather than a full hardware leap.

While this slim iPhone variant could bridge the gap between standard and Pro models, insiders warn that it might not offer the same full-featured performance as its more expensive counterparts. The chip could be limited in certain GPU or ML capabilities, keeping the true Pro edge exclusive to the top-tier versions.

Nevertheless, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to appeal to users seeking sleek design with near-Pro performance, potentially reshaping how consumers perceive value within Apple’s lineup.
