Speaking on the global stage, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized that terrorism must be addressed as a collective international challenge, not merely as a bilateral issue between countries. Highlighting the cross-border and transnational nature of terrorism, he urged world leaders to rise above political differences and adopt a unified, uncompromising stance against terrorism in all its forms.
Jaishankar criticized attempts to compartmentalize terrorism based on geography or political convenience, arguing that such attitudes weaken global efforts and embolden extremist groups. His remarks come in the wake of continued cross-border threats and international tensions over how to define and respond to terror activities.
The minister also called for stronger international cooperation, intelligence sharing, and a consistent legal framework to combat terror networks effectively. With growing global interconnectedness, Jaishankar’s appeal reiterates India's long-standing position that terrorism respects no borders, and the response to it should be just as borderless and coordinated. The message is clear: only a united world can defeat a divided threat.
