With growing concerns about health and sustainability, plant-based milk is gaining popularity. Cardiologist Dr. Alok Chopra recently shared ten key benefits of plant-based milk on Instagram, highlighting its advantages for both individuals and the planet.

According to Dr. Chopra, plant-based milk is high in fiber, rich in nutrients, lower in calories, lactose-free, heart-friendly, anti-inflammatory, and free from hormones or antibiotics. It also offers allergen-specific options and digestive benefits, making it suitable for a wide range of people.

Plant-based milk’s eco-friendly nature is especially important as cattle farming is a major contributor to pollution.

Supporting this view, Dr. Dana Ellis Hunnes from UCLA Health and Dr. Zeeshan Ali from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine emphasized that plant-based alternatives provide essential nutrients while avoiding many health concerns linked to dairy.

As more health professionals recommend plant-based milk, it offers a simple switch for better health and environmental sustainability.
