Mumbai’s dynamic hospitality scene just got elevated with these standout new restaurants that blend innovative interior design with global culinary flair.
Comorin (Lower Parel): After acclaim in Gurugram, Comorin debuts in Mumbai inside the Nilaya Anthology. Its zoned layout unites wood, tiles, metals, pastel hues, and dramatic lighting. Conceived by Rishiv Khattar and Russell Sage Studio, it reimagines Indian comfort food in a stylish, contemporary setting .
Kona Kona (Andheri): Actor Mona Singh’s neighborhood bar pays tribute to wanderlust and home-style Indian flavours. Designed in‑house, the space sports a warm red‑white‑green palette and evokes cozy familiarity alongside street-food nostalgia .
Other honourable mentions include a sleek Japanese‑Peruvian Nikkei spot in Bandra (Amaru); a futuristic Southeast Asian cocktail bar in Lower Parel with basalt‑inspired columns (Bumipura); and Euro‑Asian fusion hotspots in Khar West infused with Art Deco glamour (Muze). These venues showcase bold design choices—from acoustic sophistication, vaulted ceilings, artisanal fabrics, to immersive thematic environments.
