Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated 184 newly constructed flats for Members of Parliament in Delhi’s B.D. Marg area, marking a significant upgrade in parliamentary housing. Built as Type-VII multi-storey units, each flat offers enhanced living space, modern facilities, and eco-friendly design features aimed at improving energy efficiency.
During the inauguration, PM Modi also planted a Sindoor sapling within the complex premises, symbolising growth and sustainability. He took time to interact with the construction workers and staff who contributed to the project, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
The Prime Minister described the flats as part of the government’s efforts to provide MPs with modern, comfortable residences that reflect India’s progress while preserving environmental consciousness. The housing complex is expected to not only improve MPs’ living standards but also set a benchmark for future government infrastructure projects.
