A video from Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur has gone viral, showing people upset after being forced to watch Varun Dhawan's Baby John instead of the expected Pushpa: 2 The Rule. On Christmas Day, moviegoers who had planned to watch Pushpa 2 with friends and family were disappointed to find out that the morning show was canceled without prior notice.
In the video, viewers revealed they had booked tickets for the 10:45 am show in advance. However, upon arriving at the cinema on December 25, they were informed that the show had been canceled and Baby John was being screened instead. The theater management and BookMyShow, the online booking platform, did not notify them about the change. This lack of communication led to confusion, with some attendees demanding an explanation and causing a ruckus outside the theater.
The cinema staff explained that the cancellation was due to a decision by the producers and was out of their control. Some people chose to stay and watch Baby John, while others left the theater, accusing the management of mismanagement. One person mentioned they had booked tickets for Pushpa 2 on December 21 but received no refund or notification of the cancellation. Another said they were told that the 2:30 pm show would proceed as usual.
Baby John, which features a special appearance by Salman Khan, opened to mixed reviews. Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 has broken numerous box office records and is one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema.
