Forget 10,000 steps! Japan’s latest fitness trend is rewriting the rules of walking. Known as Interval Walking Training (IWT) or the "3-3-3 walking method," this simple 30-minute technique is gaining global buzz - and it's backed by science.

Developed by professors at Japan’s Shinshu University, the method alternates between 3 minutes of slow walking and 3 minutes of brisk walking - repeated five times. That’s just 30 minutes, four days a week. Results? Mind-blowing. Studies show this method boosts heart health, strengthens muscles, improves mental well-being, and burns more fat than regular walking.

Unlike the old-school "10,000 steps" rule, this method emphasizes intensity over distance, making it perfect for busy lifestyles. Research even shows that IWT improves cardiovascular fitness 29 times more and leg strength 10 times more than normal walking!
