On June 21, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day from Visakhapatnam, emphasizing how yoga has become a global force uniting people across borders, cultures, and beliefs.
Celebrated with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” this year’s event focused on the deep connection between individual well-being and the health of the planet.
In a grand gathering at RK Beach, over 3 lakh people joined PM Modi in performing the Common Yoga Protocol, while more than 10 lakh citizens participated across India under the Ayush Ministry’s “Yoga Sangam” initiative.
Additionally, 11,000 naval personnel performed yoga along a 25 km stretch of the coastline and aboard naval ships. Addressing the nation, Modi called for the start of “Yoga for Humanity 2.0,” urging that the inner peace achieved through yoga should now inspire collective global action and policy that fosters harmony and health for all.
