From July 6–7, Modi participates in the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro and attends a state visit to Brasília to meet President Lula da Silva, reinforcing India’s multilateral ambitions. The tour concludes in Namibia (July 8–9), where he’ll address Parliament and chart a development roadmap grounded in shared anti-colonial history .
This bold outreach highlights India’s strategy to strengthen ties across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean - while asserting leadership in the Global South and BRICS.
