Air India shake-Up: DGCA orders immediate removal of top officials!

In a significant move, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has directed Air India to immediately remove three senior officials following serious lapses in regulatory compliance. The aviation watchdog has also ordered that internal disciplinary proceedings be initiated without delay, signaling a strict no-tolerance stance toward negligence in airline operations.

While the names and designations of the officials have not been publicly disclosed, sources indicate they were involved in critical safety oversight roles. The DGCA’s action comes after a detailed audit revealed procedural violations and potential risk factors linked to flight safety and crew management.

This sharp response highlights the regulator’s increased focus on accountability and enforcement in India's aviation sector, especially following a string of high-profile safety concerns in recent months. Air India is now under pressure to demonstrate swift corrective measures, as public trust and regulatory confidence hang in the balance.
