Amul launches world’s highest protein kulfi—10g protein, only 57 calories!

In a groundbreaking move, Amul, India's leading dairy brand, has launched what it claims to be the world's highest protein kulfi. Introduced on April 25, 2025, at a grand event in Kolkata, this innovative dessert aims to merge traditional Indian flavors with modern nutritional needs.

Each 60g serving of the mango-flavored kulfi contains 10 grams of protein and only 57 calories. Designed to cater to health-conscious consumers, the kulfi is low-fat, lactose-free, contains no added sugar, and is enriched with 100 million CFU probiotics. Priced at ₹40, it will soon be available through Amul's quick-commerce partners.

Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Amul, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, "We are excited about this innovation and many more upcoming high-protein products such as paratha, sandwich, snacks, ice cream, coffee, etc., to ensure that every Indian gets at least 1g of protein per kg of body weight every day."

The introduction of the high-protein kulfi has sparked a wave of reactions on social media. While many praised the fusion of indulgence and health, others humorously suggested Amul venture into protein-infused versions of various traditional snacks.
