Breakfast mein Poha? aap apni health se khel rahe ho!

We all love a quick, yummy, and filling breakfast, and poha totally fits the bill. But is it really as healthy as we think? According to Ameera Shah, Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare, poha might not be the best choice.
On a recent episode of Figuring Out With Raj Shamani, she broke it down: Poha is basically just rice flakes, which means it's mostly carbs. And what do carbs do? They break down into sugar, causing spikes in blood sugar levels.
She explained that if your daily meals include poha for breakfast, dal-rice for lunch, a samosa or vada pav in the evening, and rice or pasta for dinner, you're overloading on carbs all day. This constant sugar spike isn't great for your health in the long run.
So, while poha is tasty and convenient, it might be time to rethink breakfast options that offer better balance, more protein, and fewer sugar crashes!
