CPI leader Chandu Rathod shot dead during morning walk in Hyderabad!

On the morning of July 15, CPI city committee member Chandu Rathod, also known as Chandu Naik (47), was fatally shot as he strolled through Shalivahana Nagar Park in Malakpet, Hyderabad. Preliminary investigations by Malakpet police suggest the assailants - believed to be three to four individuals - arrived in a white Swift and first sprayed chilli powder into Rathod’s eyes, before firing multiple shots at close range.

Eyewitnesses confirm the brazen attack occurred around 7:30 AM, with Rathod collapsing instantly. His sudden death has triggered alarm among local residents. Family members mentioned a possible personal dispute with a CPI (ML) leader from Devarpula, but authorities are examining all angles including property or political motives. Rathod was rushed to Osmania General Hospital, where he was declared dead. Police have registered a murder case under the Arms Act and are meticulously combing through CCTV and forensic evidence to identify the attackers.

The bold daylight assassination in a public park has sparked serious concerns about law and order in the area. Police officials have urged anyone with information to come forward as they intensify efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
