CTET 2026 is Coming! Check Eligibility, fees & key dates!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has scheduled the CTET 2026 for Sunday, February 8, 2026, conducted in 20 languages across 132 cities in India.  The online registration will begin once the official notification is released on the official portal Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) at ctet.nic.in. 

Eligibility criteria require candidates to be at least 17 years old with no upper age limit. Educational qualifications vary for Paper I (Classes I–V) and Paper II (Classes VI–VIII); for example, passing Class 12 with 50% and possessing D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed etc. for Paper I. 

Application fee is estimated at ₹1,000 for one paper and ₹1,200 for both papers for General/OBC-NCL candidates; for SC/ST/Divyang, fees are ₹500 (one paper) and ₹600 (both). 

The process involves online registration, uploading photo & signature, paying the fee, and submitting the form through the official website.  Candidates are advised to check the CTET website regularly for the notification and deadlines to ensure timely submission.
