
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the Budget 2025-26, emphasizing education as a key priority for the new BJP government. The budget introduces ₹100 crore for ‘CM Shri schools,' aiming to enhance infrastructure and learning facilities.
A ₹750 crore laptop distribution program will provide 1,200 Class X pass-outs with free laptops, and ₹100 crore has been allocated for setting up 175 smart classes and computer labs. Additionally, ₹5 crore has been earmarked for a Talent Hunt Scheme to nurture young talent.
The government also plans to develop Narela as an education hub with an investment of ₹618 crore and establish a sports university. 100 new language labs named after APJ Abdul Kalam will be launched with ₹21 crore funding.
With these ambitious projects, Delhi's education landscape is set for a major transformation in the coming years.
