Flipkart’s new exchange program: upgrade instantly, recycle smartly!

Flipkart has launched a bigger and smarter exchange program covering 26 product categories-from mobile phones to large home appliances. The goal? Make premium gadgets and appliances affordable, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

The program uses an AI-driven 10-step diagnostic system to check old devices quickly and transparently. Customers can now exchange unused items—mobiles, fridges, fans, or even microwaves—for instant value on new purchases. Old appliances no longer gather dust; they act as “currency at home.”

What makes it more exciting is cross-category exchange—you can swap a fridge for a washing machine, or even a phone for a laptop.

The process is simple: select a product, enter details, get instant exchange value, place the order, and confirm at doorstep delivery after inspection.

Ahead of the festive season, Flipkart is also boosting its ReCommerce ecosystem with AI-powered pricing, image authentication, and wider seller participation. Plus, all exchanged items will be recycled responsibly with certified e-waste partners.

This move not only helps customers save big but also encourages sustainable consumption in India’s growing digital economy.
