India continued their strong Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a six-wicket win over Pakistan in the Super 4 stage at Dubai. The foundation of the victory was laid by the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, who stitched a blistering 105-run partnership. Abhishek top-scored with 74 off 39 balls, striking five sixes, while Gill contributed a fluent 47 off 28. Their stand neutralized Pakistan’s attack early, ensuring India chased down 172 comfortably with seven balls remaining. 

On the bowling front, Shivam Dube impressed with figures of 2/33, stifling Pakistan’s middle order after Sahibzada Farhan’s 58 gave them a promising start. Despite late cameos from Salman Ali Agha and Faheem Ashraf, Pakistan could only post 171/5. Jasprit Bumrah had a rare off-day, conceding 50 without a wicket. 

Beyond cricket, tensions showed as players avoided handshakes, underlining strained ties. Still, India’s emphatic display reasserted their regional dominance and boosted confidence ahead of the final stages.
