In the third and final ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground, India secured a commanding nine-wicket victory over Australia, avoiding a series whitewash. Australia, opting to bat first, were dismissed for 236 in 46.4 overs. Harshit Rana was the standout bowler for India, claiming 4 wickets for 39 runs, effectively dismantling Australia's lower order.

In response, India chased down the target with ease, reaching 237/1 in 38.3 overs. Rohit Sharma led the charge with an unbeaten 121 runs off 125 balls, marking his 33rd ODI century and surpassing Virat Kohli's record for the most ODI centuries by an Indian. He also equaled Sachin Tendulkar's record for the most ODI centuries overall. Virat Kohli provided solid support, remaining not out on 74 runs. The pair shared a 168-run partnership, showcasing their enduring chemistry and skill.

This victory not only ended India's 18-match toss-losing streak but also highlighted the resilience and experience of their senior players. The match served as a fitting farewell for Rohit and Kohli in Australia, leaving fans with lasting memories of their contributions to Indian cricket.
